The One Thing She Loved More Than Him
By Kaya C.
There was a hut
And in the hut
Two lovely boy and girl
There were.
Enchanted by the dark magic
The boy was.
“You love those squirrels, my love?” The boy asked.
The girl replied, “Oh yes, I adore’em!”
“Do you love it more than me?” Again the boy asked.
“Oh no, I love you more than anything else, darlin’!”
“You love the orange leaves, my love?” The boy asked.
The girl replied, “Oh yes, I like’em!”
“Do you love it more than me?” Again the boy asked.
“Oh no, I love you more than anything else, honey!”
“You love the purple skies, my love?” The boy asked.
The girl replied, “Oh yes, I fancy’em!”
“Do you love it more than me?” Again the boy asked.
“Oh no, I love you more than anything else, baby!”
“You love these cinnamon rolls, my love?” The boy asked.
The girl replied, “Oh yes, I love’em!”
And she continued, “And I love’em more than anything else in the world!”
The boy started to disappear.
One thing she loved more than him the sorcerer said.
One thing and you’ll have to go he said.
They were just little tiny cinnamon rolls.
